Joe McDonald President, RFA Recruit (202) 246-3236 Joe@rfaRecruit.com With over twenty five years experience in direct marketing, Joe McDonald has successfully introduced innovative strategies and techniques on behalf of a wide range of non-profit and for-profit organizations. Beginning in 1975 as the first marketing director for George Washington Universitys Continuing Education Program, when technology we now take for granted today was in its infancy, Mr. McDonald established a computerized direct mail system for marketing over 300 professional level seminars a year. From there, he led a team that created an enormously successful direct mail fund raising program for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY. This was the first time an Olympic organizing committee had ever attempted to raise funds through direct mail. For the next several years, Mr. McDonald worked with the direct marketing consulting firm of Craver, Mathews, and Smith, on behalf of a number of prominent non-profits including the International Rescue Committee, OXFAM, the New York ASPCA, and the Museum for Women in the Arts. In 1989, Joe McDonald first joined with Rich Fox, serving as the Washington, DC Director of Mr. Foxs firm at the time, Facter Fox. In that role, he helped design telemarketing campaigns for dozens of cultural, political, and advocacy organizations. Mr. McDonald has also served as the Development Director for the Childrens Inn of the National Institutes of Health, and the Executive Director of the Mental Health Association of Northern Virginia. Today, Joe is an active member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), and as president of RFA/Recruit, designs and implements direct contact recruitment efforts for healthcare facilities nationwide. |
